Terms of Service
Effective 6 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-06
These terms govern your use of AuditSetu, a platform that chartered accountancy firms use to work with their clients and run their practice. AuditSetu is operated by [Registered company name], [Registered office address] (“we”, “us”).
By creating an account or using AuditSetu, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using AuditSetu for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
1. Who uses AuditSetu
There are three kinds of account:
- Firms — a chartered accountancy or consultancy practice, through its owners and managers.
- Staff — people a firm adds to work on its behalf.
- Clients — a firm's own clients, who join using a code their firm gives them.
Each firm's information is kept separate. Staff and clients of one firm cannot see another firm's information. You must be at least 18 years old to use AuditSetu.
2. Tax computations are drafts, not advice
AuditSetu helps prepare income tax, GST and TDS work, but everything it produces is a draft for a qualified professional to review.
- It does not give tax, legal or financial advice, and does not exercise judgement about anyone's affairs.
- It does not file returns. Filing is done by the firm or the taxpayer, who is responsible for what is filed.
- Tax rates, limits and due dates change, often every Budget. Figures in the product may be out of date.
- Checks against government records rely on outside services that may be unavailable or return wrong results.
Before relying on any computation, a qualified professional must check it against the law in force. We are not responsible for tax, interest, penalties or other loss that results from relying on a draft without that review.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private, and use two-factor authentication where you can.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell your firm, or us, straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- Do not share an account between people.
4. Firms' responsibilities
If you use AuditSetu as a firm, you are responsible for:
- your staff's use of the platform, and removing access for anyone who leaves;
- having a lawful basis, including consent where it is needed, for the client information you put into it;
- the professional work you deliver to your clients, including anything filed with a government portal;
- the enquiry form you embed on your own website, and what you tell visitors about it.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the platform for anything unlawful, or to store information you have no right to hold;
- upload malicious software, or try to get round the limits on what can be uploaded;
- try to reach information belonging to another firm, client or user;
- probe, scan or test the platform's security, or overload it;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the platform, or scrape it with automated tools.
6. Your information
You keep ownership of the documents and information you put into AuditSetu. You allow us to store and process them only as needed to provide the service to you and your firm, as described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload.
Some information is removed automatically: team chat messages and their files after 100 days, and activity logs after 180 days. Download anything you need to keep.
7. Fees and payments
Fees for using AuditSetu, if any, are as agreed with us separately. Invoices a firm sends its own clients through AuditSetu, and payments made on them through Razorpay, are between that firm and its client; we are not a party to them.
8. Outside services
AuditSetu connects to outside services, including payment, verification, messaging and video providers, and government portals. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep AuditSetu available and accurate, but it is provided as it is and as available, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features, and will give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can.
10. Suspension and closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the platform or other users at risk. A firm may close its account at any time. Export anything you need before an account is closed.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or data, or tax, interest or penalties, and our total liability in connection with AuditSetu is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and effective date above show which text applies, and we will tell you about significant changes. Continuing to use AuditSetu after a change takes effect means you accept it.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [City] have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
